To give you a taster, part of Nelson’s thesis is that computers—which even in 1974 he saw would come to touch almost every aspect of our lives—are stunted in their scope because they are walled-off by a clique of experts whose mantra is control. Rather, in his view “it is for the Wholiness of the human spirit, that we must design.”
